I finally got my new Unisaw unpacked and just waiting on the mobile base as well as new fence so I can try it out.

I want to use my JessEm sliding table attachment however I would like to have a little room for bevel cutting on the left of the blade (yes it's a right tilt saw Bill! :icon_eek:) so I thought about leaving the left extension wing on and mounting the sliding table directly to that. Anybody see a problem with mounting like this? Also, I only need/have room for a 36" rip capacity and I don't really want to cut up a new 50" fence so I'm considering the 30" Biesemeyer again (I sold the Unifence with the old saw). If I mount the sliding table as mentioned above, instead of cutting the overhanging tube I could move it to the right and drill/tap new mounting holes thereby gaining the extra 6" inches of right cutting capacity I need while still leaving 6" to the left of the blade. One issue I can see is that the far right end of the tube would be unsupported possibly causing some deflection on wide cuts. Anybody see this as an issue or any other issues I might run into? (I would like to just go with the new 36" Biesemeyer and cut the left end of the tube however they don't have that one in stock here and I need to get a fence ASAP since the buyer already picked up the old saw!)

On a side note, has anybody used/have comments on the Delta folding outfeed table? It looks like a pretty good deal at $200.00 shipped and I'm swamped right now so it would be beneficial for me to buy one as opposed to trying to find the time to build a new one.

I have the Delta outfeed table. It was a great investment. Fairly easy to install. Depending on the age of your saw you might have to drill a couple of hole. The later models have knock-outs on the back of the saw cabinet for the table supports.
I also looked at the Jessem sliding table but did not like the modifications I would have to make to the rails and fence.

Well I decided on the 30" Biesemeyer which I plan to move over 6" and add a support to. Still looking for opinions on possible issues with mounting the sliding table to the extension wing. BTW, I'll soon post reviews of the Unisaw (very positive especially the dust collection) and the Biesemeyer fence (not too positive in comparison to the one I bought 15 years ago ).

Marv; as long as that left wing has the 3 bolt hloes to attach the slider to should not have a problem with mounting HOWEVER you will have issues with using the scale on the slider fence plus you WILL NOT be able to have support of the slider fence close to the blade. IF this is not an issue for you enjoy. OH YEAH YOU ARE GOING TO LUV,LOVE, LIKE HEAVEN, SUPERFANTAZAMAGORICAL SLIDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOT that I might be predjudiced cause I OWN one ROFLOL.
Ya know I am thunkin maybe you can slip that fence to the right enuf hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm . I have the uni so I just cut the end of the support bar.

Thanks skymaster. The wing does have the holes already drilled however fence position could be an issue as you mentioned and I don't want to find that out after I install it! I have a little extra room since my shop remodel so I think I'm going to go back to considering a vertical panel saw for crosscutting the wider stuff as well as make it easier to break down the full sheets.
