I finally got my new Unisaw unpacked and just waiting on the mobile base as well as new fence so I can try it out.
I want to use my JessEm sliding table attachment however I would like to have a little room for bevel cutting on the left of the blade (yes it's a right tilt saw Bill! :icon_eek
so I thought about leaving the left extension wing on and mounting the sliding table directly to that. Anybody see a problem with mounting like this? Also, I only need/have room for a 36" rip capacity and I don't really want to cut up a new 50" fence so I'm considering the 30" Biesemeyer again (I sold the Unifence with the old saw). If I mount the sliding table as mentioned above, instead of cutting the overhanging tube I could move it to the right and drill/tap new mounting holes thereby gaining the extra 6" inches of right cutting capacity I need while still leaving 6" to the left of the blade. One issue I can see is that the far right end of the tube would be unsupported possibly causing some deflection on wide cuts. Anybody see this as an issue or any other issues I might run into? (I would like to just go with the new 36" Biesemeyer and cut the left end of the tube however they don't have that one in stock here and I need to get a fence ASAP since the buyer already picked up the old saw!)
On a side note, has anybody used/have comments on the Delta folding outfeed table? It looks like a pretty good deal at $200.00 shipped and I'm swamped right now so it would be beneficial for me to buy one as opposed to trying to find the time to build a new one.
