Anybody have any woodworking projects they are laying out to do in the cold months?

I've got a few designs involving bent laminations that I would like to try out. One should be pretty simple. Another is going to be trouble.

Here, we have an average of 8 days of cold weather, not months. Besides my upholstery projects (13 items on my list), I have a side board to refinish (2016 flood damaged) for a friend. I have walnut cut out to make a side cabinet (not quite an island type accessory) to put in the kitchen and I have salvaged pine siding prepped to make a smallish stand-alone medicine cabinet.

For the past couple of years I have donated some wooden models of trucks and tractors to various charity auctions. I have found that people don't realize all the work that goes into them. So, this year I'll be making some bird feeders made from the cedar fence boards that I salvaged from my neighbors fence when he replaced it. The hastily made feeders will probably bring more at auction than the highly detailed trucks/tractors. OK, I'm done with my rant.

I generally whittle some spoons and ornaments in winter. My wife has made a request for a new spoon, the hardest type there is, a duplicate of an existing spoon. So whittling will start sooner than later I expect.

I live in the Houston/Galveston Texas area. Fortunately, I probably dont have more than 10 days the entire winter that I cant really do anything in the shop. Now, summer is a different story. I wasn't normally able to work many days in the summer due to heat and humidity. I now have a small portable air conditioner in one room of my shop which helps a whole lot. The warehouse section of the building, which is heavily insulated still makes summer months not very practical, except for around midnight to around 7 or 8 AM which is not practical but I try to work with it.
