I need to sand some cabinet doors, right now they are just oak and going to finish them. The rail and stiles have a round over and a cove type detail to them and wondering if anyone has some tips for sanding these? Or just suck it up and deal with the finger cramps!

Fein has a profile sanding attachment that looks a lot like the ones Ponch hooked us up with at Woodcraft except they are small and attach to a motor. The Fein is an expensive tool but worth its' cost for me. Maybe some of the other less expensive "multi-tools" have the same attachment.

Another tool I often use to scrape contours and round shapes is a cabinet scraper set I bought at Rockler for under $20 which has the traditional card scraper along with a convex and concave scraper that fit almost all shapes. A scraper like these leave you with a smooth finish the equivalence of a 220 grit sanding. The only problem is that you need to learn how to sharpen the scrapers. I did so I think you can also. I now use my scrapers all the time.
