Staining is part art and part chemistry.
I'd get some Oak that matches the grain as close as possible as a test sample.
Get enough that you will have to add onto the door.
Over the years I've used a slew of stains on various woods, but I made sample sticks for each and mounted them on a display board.
The stain companies all have "color charts" to help you to select the closest one, however the wood affects the colors somewhat.
There are experts at Sherman Williams who may be able to steer you in the right direction.
Mohawk Industrials is THE source for dyes and toners to get the right final match.

Looks like you have already added the wood and that grain is NOT at all like the wood next to it.
If it were my door, I'd be starting over with a better match.

Mt stains are mostly Min Wax:

The door appears to be ash wood. Are you able to get any ash wood to make the trim? It would be easier to match the color with the same wood. The stain color appears to be a golden oak. Depending on brand the color can vary a lot, you may have to mix another color with the stain or thin it to achieve the color. Matching the color takes a lot if tinkering even for the professional. The color you tried seems to have too much red in it and needs to be thinned to lighten it.
