It is straight as an arrow but the front and back locking mechanisms are wearing out. Very weak
If they are semi-rounds, squeeze them a bit smaller.
If they are flat, bend them.
If a spot of weld will increase the "bite", have them welded.
If there's a cam and shoe assembly, add a shim to increase the pressure.
Possibly increase the distance of the rails from the edge of the table with washers?
There are ways to "hack a fix" ......
It has two independent locking mechanisms. The one that is at the far end of the fence, the lever does stay locked. Now the main locking mechanism on the fence locks but it is weak. It seems to be a semi circle that pushes against the front rail but it moves ever so slightly hence the poor friction. I am lost as to how to solve this specific problem

More than likely if the locking mechanism is weak that can be tightened with an adjustment. Perhaps if you loosen the bolts on the top of it the clamps could be moved where it would tighten better. Without being there it's hard to say where the adjustment is.
A see 2 bolts on either end of the fence both are tightened to their max. I really don't see any adjustment for the main lock but the far lock has its adjustment bolts bit the lever that locks it does stay down it springs up immediately. The main lock stays locked but barely. When. I took off the fence I saw a semi circle thick metal that pushes against the rail with alot of wear and they don't make them any more

I'm wondering if the holes the bolts bolt through are elongated though. It may be you could loosen the rear end of the clamp and move it in. This would make the fence tighten better. There should be an adjustment somewhere. On a Craftsman saw there is a set screw on the very end of the fence.
See if this helps

I suggested a shim to increase the pressure of the cam against the shoe.
Will that work? It should only take a piece of spring steel from a shipping strap cut to size and bent to a curve.
Try it and let us know.
You won't find repair parts, only a used fence head or an entire fence.
Ok thank you very much. I will keep in touch
