Dry Rot in Ceiling Joists

I lifted the floor boards in an upstairs bedroom to redo some electrical wiring. The floor boards are in an old house, but they are in good condition. Structurally sound. However I noticed some dry rot in the ceiling joists beneath them.

It appears the rot is only present at the ends of the joists - within about 6 inches of where they meet the exterior wall. I can push my car key through the timber. I suspect the old concrete wall is damp and has lead to timber damage in the ceiling joists.

The damage appears to be isolated to just the area next to the wall. Is there anything I can do to treat the joists and leave them in place as is. The last thing I want to do is have to lift the boards and begin repairing the joists.
