LB very interesting piece. I'm confused about the bottom. In the top photo it looks hollow but in the open photo it appears to have a bottom. Am I reading the piece wrong. I do like the textures and the natural edge.

 

John you have me confused a bit in what you are asking, the bottom is hollow and does have a bottom inside is basicly the shape of outside or as near to, maybe the lighting that does not show the bottom as it is sprayed out with the flock. Still not to sure what you mean though unless that is it. cheers LB

 

That is quite a unique piece LB, neat.

 

LB What it looked like to me was that you had turned a box with a bottom and then turned it around and hollowed out the bottom side kind of like when you want to carve feet. You hollowed up to the actual bottom of the inside portion and then pierced this area. Is that correct.

John i know where you are now, but no its just done the norm box way the bottom is solid just concaved a bit with a couple of rings, and it is not pierced as in all the way through, the pic looks like the bottom sides are straighter than they are it is more curved than it looks in the pic, might be the angle i took it and the texturing, i will be taking better pics for my site, have to setup a light box and start paying more attention to the photography side.
