I have a saw with minor insect damage to handle. What would you recommend to fill this? The saw is an old d-8 this is its only flaw.

I would use epoxy with milled fiberglass added. I would also dye the epoxy to match the handle. I do these types of repairs all the time and it holds up very well and looks good. The epoxy sands nicely with the addition of fiberglass. I use West Systems finishing resin.

Thanks for the advice. I've used epoxy with sawdust in some of my turnings. Just didn't know how it would hold up to use.
