My daughter mentioned it was her teacher's birthday and asked if I could make her something. For a first I think it turned out ok. It's maple finished with Mineral Oil/Beeswax mixture.

It's made from the same wood as the apple. Had to make a deep jamb chuck when I reversed it to finish the bottom. Luckily it was still attached when I took it off.
