Actually you can zero at any angle you want. For setting bevels on the miter saw and table saw, I usually use the cube.

I don't have the Wixey, but I have the Beall tilt box and love it. No sound either, but zeroing at any angle and rare earth magnets to hold it to any magnetic surface.
Here's a little video I made showcasing mine if you're interested.

Wow, I’m sold. I have not seen the Beall tilt box or the Wixey angle gauge before so I was interested on how this thread was going, but now that I see it in action, I want one.
In fact I’m going to see if I can buy one right now, thanks Kenbo!

So I just placed my order for the Beall tilt box, but I still don’t know what the deal is with the “Sound” thing. What sound? Is there supposed to be a sound with Wixey? I looked on the wixey.com site and I don’t see anything about sound. :icon_confused:

I really like my Wixey, but hate the fact that it eats up batteries even if it is not on. Batteries go dead sitting in the cabinet. The ock nly way to save the battery is to remove it and put it back in when needed.
