I have an idea for a wine rack and wine glass holder, the glasses would be held upside down by the stem in a slotted board. As I am not a wine drinker I do not have a glass to get some dimensions for it, so I was wondering if you all could tell me a good spacing between glasses as well as what the depth and diameter of the slot should be. Normally I would just go out and find a cheap glass to compare to but its a long drive for me to get to a place that sells them. Thanks for your help

Lots of different styles of wine glass - so it's difficult to be precise, but I think even quite big flute type glasses would fit OK with 4" centre to centre and 1/2" slots. The big round bowl burgundy style glasses would need more space, but they are not so common.

I center the slots for the stems a minimum of 4", and the opening for the stems 1". A 1" spread for the bases stabilizes the glass, and allows for different stem thicknesses.
