I have some blocks of wood that I want to cut up. One is American mahogany, and I have a few blocks of cedar that I want to cut into boards. I'm going to be borrowing a friends bandsaw to do so. But what I want to know is when cutting these blocks into boards (small boards) do I cut with the grain, or against the grain?

You can do either depending on the size of your wood and the desired outcome. If you can be more specific you'll get more responses. A picture will really help too.
