Never call; always try it in person. Particularly during lightly attended times. You could go to the same store and get different answers depending on who you get and what mood their in.

absolutely. when i get no, i tell them that's an unacceptable response. i've even called corporate CS while in the store and corporate instructed a reluctant manager to honor said coupon.
