My new hvlp system came with two tips: 0.9 and 1.8 but no directions on what to use with what. I'm going to use a water based top coat that has the thickness of water. But which tip?
For wood finishes I would use the 1.8mm tip. The .9 tip would be better for very thin solvent coatings. The .9 tip would make more of a mist of the finish than the 1.8mm.
