What Kinda wood is this? It came with a model wooden ship as an extra piece in case you fudged the other on i'm gonna try and make some key chain Fire fighter Maltese crosses out of it.

Pretty sure it's luaun or Phillipine mahogany - not really in the mahogany family, but that's what they call it. Not too hard, is it? - I mean the wood.

Nope it's pretty soft dents pretty easy and can leave a mark with the finger nail with out much pressure. Havent tried cutting it with the jigsaw yet, hopefully Friday i'll get around to it.

Its hard to tell from a photo but it looks a little like Brazilian Cherry to me.
