Eyed help on what to use on finishing for a walnut dinning table. Like to keep the natural color. So do I use to bring out the natural color and to have a durable top coat.

I would first use a grain filler to level the surface. Then lightly sand with 220 grit sandpaper. If you have the means of spraying I would seal with a vinyl sealer. Then topcoat with a cab-acrylic sander.

If you are brushing or wiping a finish I would use a oil based polyurethane only.

I just made a mesquite table and used Arm r seal from Rocklers. I used a wool aplicator from home depot and it went on super easy and looks great. Havnt finished my house yet so havnt tested the table as far as durability.
