First of all you will need to know if the lathe is a #1 or #2 mortise taper, yoûwill also need a pen mandrel, a way to drill holes in the blanks, a pen mill to square up the ends of the blanks, sandpaper, finish of some kind, and good sharp turning tools. And google pen turning, and watch a lot of videos. Also get some tight grained wood to practice on. You can find all kinds of free wood. And ask questions. This should help you get started, I may have left out something, someone else can add.
