What did you do today? (Part Two)

I’m experimenting with making my own template for an MFT top starting with a laser cutter. After a little math to figure out the bushing offset, I cut out a test hole in 3mm ply. First I had to pad out the base.

I routed a test hole in 1/4” ply using a 1/2” spiral bit. The results look promising. There is a reamer available to bring to size the holes ti exactly 20mm.

I’m thinking about building the Dave Stanton top first rather than building a whole new top.

Working on a box for some of my marking tools, and whipped up a small shelf for the shop coffee bar.

Not 100% sure what I'm doing, but I'll stick with it 😅

I broke the remote control shift lock on my boat, and I'm to cheap to spend 70 bucks for a new one. So I made one out of some beech wood I had laying around

Took a couple weeks off of woodworking as I had to focus efforts elsewhere.
Continuing along with a small box.
Plenty of mistakes, but I'm going to just keep rolling along with it.

Today I finished another fire truck. I was hoping that when this one was finished the weather would be good enough to start some outside stuff. Then we got 10" of new wet snow so I might be in the shop for a little while yet.

Finished the rebuild of the front brake calipers on my Kawasaki ZRX. Cleaned and painted them yesterday. Cleaned and polished the pistons today and assembled with all new seals. There are 12 pistons with 2 seals on each piston! They were anodized gold. I didn't mind the color but this is better. There was just too much gold on the bike.

Finished another truck.

Too chilly to put up pickets. Guess je abd the grand daughter will sort hardware. Or atleast she will watch..

Today me and the grand daughter planted some flowers.
