I am setting up my wish list on amazon for books for Christmas and I am wondering if anybody had advices for some good books for me?

I am not a total noob but I did not do any woodworking for a long time (20+ years) except ... er ... putting Ikea crap together

As I said in my introduction post, I am interested in outdoor projects (furniture, play stuff, chicken coop) as well as small indoor projects (shoe cabinet).

I need to relearn all the basic cutting, assembling and finishing.

Thanks a bunch!!!!!!

Books? Trial and Error.
Read the safety precaution that come with your tools and play around with some scraps.
Finishing is probably one I would get. Can't really recommend any books, Wood magazine usually has plenty of tips and tricks. I prefer magazines because info is updated regularly.
