Nice job. I made one last year out of figured/crotch walnut and now I have cherry drying so I can build another this winter. I bought Charles Brock plans and saved all the patterns for future use. Did you use plans from someone else too? Also what thickness material are you making yours out of? Keep the pics coming and thanks for posting.
I use hal taylor's method. I like his chair the best for several reason: 2 piece seat, flexible back braces, the shape of the arms, and the verticle grain on the head rest. Lumber is Solid 2 inches thick x 11 iches wide. 48 bdft is more than ample. I like having more than enough!
Sunshine gives cherry an instant patina. Love your rocker. How did you join the legs to the rockers? I notice the clamps in the next to last picture. Did you use dowels?
