Hi all, new here. I have some 150-year-old barnboard which was brown when purchased. I've stained it in a light gray; some may consider this sacrilige but it's the colour I was after. I like the look of it, but at the moment the colour is too monotone and needs some variation. What would be a good treatment (paints, stains etc.) to make it look weathered? Thanks for any advice.

put it on saw horses in the yard and let your kids use it for about 15 min that will weather anything. You just want to weather the color? try dry brushing a little paint on then blot it in with a rag. very very lightly will darken some areas or lighten depens on the paint. Practice on a piece of cardboard first:thumbsup:
