I'm building a box to hold poker chips for a friend made out of cherry. She wants a wax finish on it that is high gloss. Does anyone have any idea if this kind of product exists. I have never worked with wax finish and have no idea what to do or use. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Wax finishes don't really get to a high gloss sheen. You would need to finish the box with a film coating such as gloss polyurethane or lacquer. Then if you wished the finish could be rubbed out and buffed with rubbing compound and waxed to a high gloss.

Wax And turpentine will produce a gloss finish you will love. Doesn't take long either.
