My wonderful children decided to colour on a cutting board I'm giving to my brother in law for his wedding gift. Its already been oiled and is all ready to go. I need to get the crayon off of it. Would it be best to try and sand it out or do a quick thin run through my planner.

Wax dissolves in oil. Lay on more oil, scrub it around with your fingertips. Piece of soft cloth and a warm iron (no steam). Could lift out the heated/warmed oil & wax like blotting paper.
