I found this ad locally here in Ft Myers Fl

CABINET MAKERS
5/8" Virola 7 ply interior clear plywood $15 per sheet (4' X 8') (slightly water spotted). 10 sheets or more at $12 per sheet.

What is Virola plywood? Would it be OK for carcass, how about drawer sides and bottoms. Is it a hardwood, easy to machine?

It would be fine for casework, backs, drawer sides and bottoms. It's a veneer core plywood with very clear faces. It's not as smooth as Maple, but not as grainy as Lauan. It can be stained and film coated. It takes machining well (rabbets, dadoes). It falls into sheet goods similar to Meranti, Sande, Lauan.
