Simple experimental indicator of whether liquids can or will bleed across the cuts you make.
For my expt, I used a Pfeil 'Brienz' carving knife, probably worth 3x24's or more.

A gotcha. I'm on the same page now. I'll be sure to post pics once I have a product worthy of pictures. Thanks for all the help!

Well, putz around with it. If the cut line thing works OK, you don't have to explain how it was done.
But, you must do the experiments. If they don't work out, members like Rick Mosher give you excellent advice for alternatives.
How many wobbly pops do the competitors have to consume before they are allowed to play the game? Is the ball round (aka isodiametric) or oval like an egg?
