I've got a finished mahogany front door that I need to countersink screws in the door jam. I'm going to plug these with mahogany plugs. Any suggestions I'm trying to do this with as minimal impact on the door's finish as possible. Any suggestions on how I can do this? How do I cut the plugs after they're glued in?

Yep, you can use a small plane... or...

Just gently shave the top off with a sharp chisel.

Yessir get a 20hp Binford Chain Saw...that is, if a scary sharp chisel doesn;t work for you....just kidding, ....but not about the scary sharp part...I use Cherry chisels and do the scary sharp routine with them...work fine for trimming plugs with minimal collateral damage....
