I think it is well written and fair. Not really a fault, but the phrase "traditional HSS" tools strikes me as humorous. HSS in tools has only been around for less than 70 years. For thousands of years before that, turning tools were carbon steel. I still use some even more "traditional" high carbon steel turning tools. I guess folks who still use them must be rare. Though they wear much faster, carbon steel tools can be made sharper than HSS and can leave an even smoother finish cut on many woods.

Don't sharpen carbon steel tools on a CBN wheel, it will mess them up.
