Square Bowl

Here's another bowl made from the same pile of Sweet Gum I have. Burning the edges took forever! Had some trouble with tear out at the corners which is evident in the picture. Finish is GF's Woodturner's Finish.

Tearout? I don't see no stinkin' tearout

This is a really nice design, Rob -- well done. And although we don't see how it was before, the embellishment looks great!

Well, the only reason for the embellishment was becuse I didn't have a disk sander to clean up the sides. Had to make due with what I had!

As we all must -- but you did it with a little more flair than I normally manage

Very nice. As for doing with what you have, we all improvise. And you have done it nicely

It looks perfect from here. Awesome shape and the burnt edges are great accents. Excellent job!
I love the form. How'd you burn the edges? Its a great look!

I have a cheap Weller wood burner/soldering iron. So I just made a whole lot of dots. Took a little over an hour a side. I don't think I'll be making another one anytime soon....
4 hours well spent (the edges)...it really makes the top "pop".
