I went by an antique shop I frequent from time to time. The owner had stuffed a few jewels in a tool box for me.

I started with the longest plane. Its 26 inches long. When I first started working it I thought it was chestnut, but it turns out to be beech.

The blade is marked W. Hill. I couldn’t find much on it but its one of the hardest irons I’ve ever sharpened. I little refinishing and sharpening. The iron still has some pretty major pits. I think this may be a nice mantle piece, but its a NICE mantle piece.

Second iron derusted looks like this

Might need plan B for thais one.

Awesome, I love the beauty that is a nice wooden plane. Great score. I'm thinking that I'm gonna eventually get rid of all my metallic planes and use only all wood. Some would not agree, but I think that's what u want to do. If you feel like not having those, let me know. Otherwise, I'll be watching to see what you do with them and how they clean up.
