got a ash sofa table top, 39-1/2" long and 21" wide and 3/4" thick. want to cover end grane, will use a spline to aline so do I glue this or how do I keep it in place.will have 90 degree cornner in front. thanks. carl.
Are you talking about using a breadboard end to hide the end grain? If you are you would use a real long mortise and tendon joint but make sure you figure in the expansion and contraction so you don't have any problems with a cross grain joint.
