Does anyone have any thoughts as to which router lift is best for a PC7518 router? I'm setting up an extended router top bought from Rockler. JessEm? Woodpeckers? I'd appreciate any feedback, as I'm a newB.
I have the Precision Router Lift (PRL) from Woodpeckers and love it. They did have to replace a sprocket a few years ago as it was getting hard to raise and lower. Each revolution is something like 1/32", so it is pretty accurate.
Fortunately for me, I just bid on one on E Bay for 275.00. It comes with additional accessories. Woodpeckers sells them for 300.00, plus tax.
I bought a 1.75 PC small hand held unit for 99.00 from Woodcraft last night. They offer a few classes on beginning woodworking. Some useful information, but not generally a good class. I just have to "play" and experiment and get that wood a flyin' !
