Kind of a last minute gift here. A little bowl for my mother-in-laws 70th birthday.

The bowl measures about 6" x 3" and is finished with gloss polly. Made from Walnut and Maple.

This is really nice -- are there 12 segments around the ring?

I've never tried segmented turning, but there pieces like this tempt me to give it a shot.
Thanks. And yes, the upper three rings have twelve segments and the base is solid.

Give it a shot. It's challenging and addictive. I'm no pro but if you have any questions just ask.

Man you guys make such beautiful segmented turnings. Way beyond my talents but gives me something to strive for.
