I had lots of 1.25" -- 1.5" squarish redwood strips 6' to 14' long cut-offs leftover from a deck flooring project a few years ago. For an inside winter project last year, I processed them into wall trellises.

I steam bent the curves on top sawing 1/4" strips and gluing them with TB-III on 30" semicircular cauls made out of particle board. The bulk of the assembly is lap jointed at the vertical and horizontal crossings with the short pieces attached to the arches tenoned and mortised in.
Redwood doesn't like to bend without being well steamed, and then only in thin strips for sharp curves.
