As much as I hate to start another CL table saw thread, a R4511 just popped up locally for $350 that looks in great condition. I'd have to beg and plead with the wife to jump on this so I wanted to get some more knowledgeable opinions on the quality of the deal before I attempt to sway the wife.

Unfortunately, a Sawstop, Grizzly, etc. just isn't in the cards. This is the best deal I've seen locally since I started looking a few months ago.

Opinions welcome.

They're good saws....there is a recall on the arbor in them, so make sure its either already done....or you get it done......I have a granite topped saw....and love it....

I was looking at one of those today and some of the reviews said it was really hard to get the blade aligned properly with the "T" slot.

The saw looks to be in really good condition. I'd buy it in a heart beat and cure any problems myself.

I believe the 4511 has cabinet mounted trunnions which should make aligning the blade easier.

For the granite - I'd take granite with granite wings (like that saw) over CI with stamped steel wings any day.

Could you have been reading about the alignment issues with the R4512? RBK is correct....the R4511 has easy to align cab mounted trunnions.
