Hi, all I am new to this forum and I have a question.
I have a photo of a mailbox I would like to build, I know the height only. How do I create a scale I can use by measuring the photo to make it full size.

Thank You All,
Billytrail:smile: :euro:

I'll take a stab at this one...build it whatever size you want . I assume the picture is on an angle so perspective does not allow you to simply divide the height by the width and multiply the length times the height. If you had a straight front shot and a straight side shot, the math is easy since you know one length of a rectangle. That can be done with a ruler on the picture and converted into inches divided by the size of the picture .If the text says it is 10" tall and the picture measures 1" for example (for easy math, but it obviously will work whatever the numbers) you know it is 1/10th scale. Measure the other sides and multiply by 10....or just build it whatever size you want like I said/like I do:laughing:.
