Used 6x6 PT posts in ground for freestanding pergola. Span postion 8'x11'. I want to use single 2"x6"x 12' PT beams carriage bolted to posts. Will a single 2x6x12 be able to handle weight of about seven 2x6 (or 2x4)PT cross beams positioned within 11' span side without eventually sagging? Or do I have to use two beams sandwiched on the posts. Or have to bump up to 2x8x12s to only use single beams.
I might also lay 2x2s across the top of all that, but undecided.
Thanks

Good looking pergola reb (y)

Looks are 50% of the project. My 4x8 pergola is double 2x8 cuz it looked better than lighter members. Attention to detail is critical, especially when it's near the house or anyone else will be under it
