Thanks for the compliments.

They are through tenons. I drilled 3/4" holes all the way through then cut them close and scribed/filed them to size. The legs are actually 1X3's mitered and glued and spined on each side, so the legs are actually hollow. Was a little extra work, but has a much nicer look than if they were laminated.

oval coffee table

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever. Now I am a bit of a novice, so what wood is that?----limed oak?
