It is very pretty, but I do not know what I am looking at. Is the leopard painted on the wood? engraved? or what? Wish I had the talent to do that whatever the technique.

The extend of my artistic abilities is painting my house.

I used a scroll saw to cut out the black parts of the leopard and then backed it with a black piece of 1/8" hardboard. It comes out like a picture but it is actually cut out of wood.

chrisgerman1983;62087how long does something like that take you?[/quote said:
A piece like this one (not including making the inlay frame) takes about 8 hours. It sounds like a lot, but you just put on the music and start cutting. Quite relaxing in reality.

You made this statement in one of my posts. What you created was proof you do have the ambition and patience. Nice work.

Thanks, I never quite looked at it like that. Time to get off my duff and start trying new things.
