Yesterday I bought a few tools, including a nice Jet table saw for and the DEWALT DW735 planer, and the only remaining thing I need at this time is a bandsaw for resawing up to 7" or 8" stock on occasion. Previously I use a Grizzly (in my former neighbor's shop). Anyway, I found this older Jet locally for $350. Thoughts?

It may have a 7" capacity but .....
Sawing 7" thick material is tough on any saw with less than 2 HP. My resaw bandsaw has 3 HP and it will make it's way through 7" or 8" hardwood albeit slowly depending on the wood. This saw is older and over priced as stated. Under $300.00 and at $250.00 would be a better deal. The older Jet machines are well built in my experience. This one does have a cast iron throat which will allow for a riser block, but then you are back to the power issue. Offer $250 FIRM, and walk away if there is no deal. :|
