One of my son-in-laws is a part time DJ and asked me some time ago to make something to store it in. So while cleaning up the I found it and finished it I am not sure what the original plan was but this is how it turned out. I used both finger joints and the dreaded lock miter, so here is the new Numark M2D2 in walnut from the scraps from the walnut crib. pictures old box, new front and back

Very cool case man. I've been Dj'ing for years & never had anything that nice to keep my mixer in! I like the forethought that holds the mixer at an angle to the user when it's opened too. Even most commercially available cases just lay it flat on the table. It makes things much smoother having them angled up that way, and i see the headphone jack access hole too so it never has to leave the case to be fully functional. Great job & it looks beautiful!

That's one fancy audio box! Well thought out design and very well executed, beautiful wood and finish. Nothing beats custom made, it's perfect for your son in law. Great job!
