This is a shame no matter- this was the perfect name for this thread. I find it sad that we can have 37 replies and know less then we started. TOO bad!! Maybe the words "Sawstop" should be banned or maybe we should find a way to be civil and accept that there are different strokes for different folks..

ACP- It is the saddest that forum tension has gotten to where we lose good contributors.

Disclaimer- I have no sawstop- I have new equipment and old- well not really old- 1950 20 bandsaw and 51 scrollsaw. Both new and old have their place. I will shut up and go back to my silent corner!!
Hey Mike that's not entirely true. We learned 3 things. Will they be applied or not is yet to be seen.

1. If you start a post off in the title box and continue the sentence through the regular body area. It will most likely be misunderstood.

2. "SawStop" as in just the Name alone will cause problems because people (not everyone) have strong opinion about it just like government and religion. Unlike those other two which are banned SawStop can't be banned from the forum topics. This means people need to keep themselves in line if at all possible. Just assuming that every post is a chance to get your personal opinion about SawStop is going to get you in trouble. Had this thread asked for opinions on SawStop it would be more understandable. It was because of reason number one above that we have reason number two.

3. More then a few, probably most knows this stuff and can function on the forum fine yet a couple still need to work at it. We know this because two people immediately said something about the negative post and several as usual have posted that it bothers them.

........How do I go from these words to an understanding that it was the USER of the equipment that was at fault.....
By looking at the CL link that was included with the title. Rather than just reading the title, check the entire posting. The title was constructed to entice the reader to continue past the title to examine the content of the posting.
