It seems that Bosch has discontinued at least my 4x24 belt sander - a brute of a thing. So I guess it's now a collectible. It was too heavy even when I was 10 years younger, but I'm keeping it for now.

I recently bought the pointy ended Ryobi corded 3x18 belt sander - I like it a lot for casual work. It has one nice touch - a sticker under the handle includes the belt size !

Yeah, I'm in the unfortunate position of owning a number of "collectibles". Such a PITA as far as parts goes. I often need to hunt online for them. Not because they break down so often, but because I have so many and I use them enough to wear out parts. But I prefer to fix these old workhorses rather than replace. Ah, the choices we make... :)
