Hi All- I'm Chris Judas, I live in north central Iowa and work for the Iowa Dept of Corrections. I am just starting (at the age of 50 :blink to get into woodworking as a hobby. I have been reading everything I can get my hands on but I am finding out, the best and ONLY true way of learning is by doing. From what I have seen so far, this forum and it's members are going to be an awesome resource!!

Welcome! There is a lot of great knowledge floating around here, so soak up what you can, post lots of pictures of what you're working on (tools, projects, whatever), and have fun!

On a side note, I'm from Sioux City originally. The guy who runs a local hardwood supplier in Idaho that I go to has family land in eastern Iowa that he brings logs over from a few times a year. I guess I am trying to say that this is all a small world. I hope you enjoy it here :thumbsup:
