Hey all. I am looking to purchase a new "beginners" lathe. I have little to no experience with lathes so just looking for something affordable until I find out if I would like to purchase a nicer, bigger unit. I have found 3 that are in my budget with good reviews, can anyone recommend one over another? I am mainly just looking to turn pens and smaller objects. Thanks!

Rather than buying a table top lathe you might keep an eye on craigslist and get a used full size lathe if you have the space. I think once you find out how much fun a lathe is you will be shopping for a bigger one.

Thanks for the link, I should have checked there first.

I knew I would have to purchase turning tools immediately, but the other accessories I need to learn about too. Thanks.
