I acquired an old walker turner metal lathe 30 years ago from my wife's grandfather who converted it to a wood lathe, included with the lathe was the normal tools etc, however included in the drawer of the lathe was this item and I have kept it for over 30 years thinking I may use it sometime however I don't know what it was used for.... is it used on a lathe or was it just a paperweight? Appreciate any suggestions

It goes in the tailstock to hold round material so you can drill holes in the side like a pipe or round. With a drill bit in headstock or drill chuck with bit in headstock. And other uses. Is it MT2? Haven't used it for 30 years huh, if you don't want it, send it to me.
