I was jointing a peice of stock and my ring finger was ever so slightly hanging over the table when I felt the blade. I snapped my hand back and didn't look at it, I just said "Oh S**T" I didn't want to look at it. It didn't hurt but that doesn't mean anything.

This is all the damage.

Thank god.

Spent some lathe time yesterday trying out my new carbide tipped chisels and came away with two very small (paper cut sized) cuts on my hand. Only thing I can figure is that chisel is extremely sharp cause nothing went wrong with the turning, but I did run the chisel across my hand to clear away small chips and dust.

You got extremely lucky with your jointer. That thing can remove a lot of skin real fast!
