This is the bar we made for my son's kitchen remodel. We made it from 175 year old lumber recycled from a buildings that was damaged in a tornado.

We used a cherry gel stain, then on the top we applied 3 coats of epoxy. On all other pieces we applied 4 coats of poly, sanded in between each coat.

It was an epoxy resin which is designed to be used on table and bar tops for durability, chemical resistance, and some what heat resistant.
