Unfortunately they are not. I do not have a planer or band saw so i was not able to rip down walnut thin enough to make the trays. So they are pine that are stained with walnut. The inlays in the lid are walnut tho, I used my table saw to rip it down but it was kind of dangerous and I didn't like doing that way.Tim G said:Very nice. I like the trays. Are the trays walnut? They look a little darker.
Thank you very much. Yeah I tried my best with what I have. I'm on the hunt on Craigslist for either a band saw or planerjohnnie52 said:Very nice for a first time attempt. Part of this hobby is figuring out how to make things from other things, and your use of stain shows plenty of imagination and resourcefulness. Well done.

Nice job. I'm hoping to build my first one this year as a present for my 17 yo daughter. Knowing my abilities scares me on this. I've never made drawers or anything this fancy. I'm hoping for a design similar to this style.Slanie88 said:First jewelry box that I have made. Hard maple with walnut
Thanks. Yeah I would love to be able to build a box like that someday also. But I need to hon in my skills before I try something of that caliber.Burb said:Nice job.
