I'm fixing to start on #5 I just can't tell which way the grain is running ?its Honduran mahogany

Me, I prefer to make my bowls/vessel blanks perpendicular to the way the tree grew (thought about that for a while--easiest way to put it :laughing, that way I don't worry about weakness from the annual rings.
